Worship Times - Sunday 9:00am & 10:30am

These intergenerational worship services seek to engage people of all ages. Using contemporary music our bands lead us in a time of worship. Drama and multimedia are used to enhance the message. The messages are strongly biblical, and clearly relevant to everyday life.
Child minding is offered at both these services.

Holy Communion alternates weekly at our Morning Worship, and regularly at Reality Cafe.

Baptisms We believe that through baptism we become part of God's family. If you seek baptism, or if you seek baptism, or if you seek baptism for your child, please contact Pastor David - telephone: 8270 4466

Our Saviour Lutheran School is attached to our church complex. It aims to provide a caring committed environment in which its students can grow in faith and in their relationship with their Lord and Saviour. At all times Our Saviour Schoool also strives to create an atmosphere that encourages and promotes the development and academic progress of each individual within their care.

What We Believe

"Vision without action is merely a dream.
Action without vision passes time.
Vision combined with action changes our world."

Our Mission - What God is calling us to Do.

"To Know Jesus and to make Him Known that all become His fully devoted disciples."

Our Vision - Who God is calling us to Be.

* We believe God is calling our congregation to be:
* A worshipping community where people from all backgrounds and ages encounter God through inspiring life-changing worship.
* A loving community where people experience authentic trusting relationships that provide a safe place for all to love and be loved, to serve and be served, to care and be cared for here and in the world around us.
* A discipling community where people are inspired and empowered to grow in intimacy with God, to follow His call on their life and to reach their full God-given potential in Christ.
* A witnessing community who are passionate about seeking those who do not know Jesus and who will do whatever is necessary to draw them into a dynamic personal relationship with Him.

Our Core Values

The Word of God - We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. It will therefore govern and direct all that we believe, teach and practice.

Prayer - Jesus prayed (John 17). We are people who pray.

We believe that we can do nothing without God. Prayer connects us with God and strengthens and sustains our relationship with him. We are therefore committed to be praying people who support and cover every part of our planning and ministry with prayer.

Spirit Led - Jesus gave us his Holy Spirit to lead, guide and empower his church on earth. (John 14:25-27; 16:13; 1 Corinthians 12:11) We will therefore encourage every Christian to discover, develop and use their spiritual gifts and be open to the Spirit’s leading, guiding and empowering.

A Grace-filled People - We are people who are Spirit led and are acutely aware of God’s unconditional love and his amazing grace through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. Grace and forgiveness shall be the hallmarks of who we are. We shall therefore actively strive to let the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) shape how we connect and relate to the world around us, and interact and unite with each other.

Body Life - As Spirit led, grace-filled people we live and minister within the body of Christ. We shall therefore value each other’s gifts and carry out God’s ministry in teams and small groups, because they provide mutual empowerment, encouragement, trust and accountability.

A Meaningful Presence - Jesus is the Word made flesh. He made his dwelling among us (John 1:14). Jesus lived his life in the world to make God’s love known. In all that we do, we shall therefore strive to be a meaningful presence in the community in which God has placed us, maintaining our integrity as followers of a Holy God.

Lutheran Theology - We are a mission congregation of the Lutheran Church of Australia. We are therefore committed to authentically confessing the Gospel as expressed and understood in the Lutheran Confessions in an understandable and relevant way to the world.

Small Groups

We live in a time of broken relationships. People sense the awesome fear of being alone.

At Our Saviour, we desire to provide small, caring communities (Small Groups) through which we can experience and share care and concern. It's through these small groups that we witness to each other, and to people around us, as we fully experience God's presence in our lives.

Our Vision

"To provide a place where the Christian message finds meaning and relevance for life."

Jesus said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35)

It is our vision that in a dysfunctional and fragmented world, the community that grows within our small groups may be a beacon of hope through which people can experience Christ's love.

Our Goal

"To provide an experience where life is the very best God meant it to be."

Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

It is our goal that as people experience and are nurtured in Christian love, they may encounter the life changing power of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, that though this encounter they may understand the depth and height of human possibility."

Small Group Leader's Purpose Statement

"To influence each small group to live the vision of Our Saviour, A Place of Hope, as it applies to the group."

Jesus demonstrated the influential role of Christian leadership in the Upper Room on the night he was betrayed.

"You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord', and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them." (John 13:13-17)

God has gifted individuals differently. It is our goal to help leaders recognise their unique gift and to use that gift to influence those around them.

Great Quotes on Small Groups

"Those who want to be Christians in earnest and who profess the gospel with hand and mouth should sign their names and meet alone in a house somewhere to pray, to read, to baptise, to receive the sacrament, and to do other Christian works." - Martin Luther

"Whenever two or three of you come together in my name, I am there with you." - Jesus (Matthew 18:20)
